Conquering my irrational fear of unfulfilled, unhappy, unfluffed (no, it’s not a real word, but just go with it because I can’t think of the real word for it) bread. 😬 I’ve recently been inspired to bake sweet bread.
Sweetbread (more commonly known as Hawaiian sweet bread) actually came from the Portuguese and their pão doce.
I’m used to eating store-bought sweet bread which has an astronomically high sweetness level compared to this homemade recipe. It makes me wonder what it tasted like on the plantations way back when…
